Although no one in our office is a CPA, Wally Nichols, MBA, JD, CFP® Professional, is qualified to represent you before the IRS, to prepare your taxes, and even represent you before the IRS in administrative proceedings or in federal court.

Prior to the Pandemic, Wally routinely taught continuing professional education classes to lawyers, CPAs, and financial planners through NBI, the National Business Institute in ethics, taxes, wills, estates, and trusts, business entity formation, and tax implications for all of the above.

Jarod is well-versed in addressing planning optimization issues in those various areas. Jarod has also helped thousands of consumers budget for tax implications to create stability in their financial lives.

Bottom Line: we will be discussing things that have tax and estate planning implications.  It’s hard to discuss retirement planning without bringing these things into the mix.

As a registered investment adviser under the United States Federal Investment Adviser Act of 1940, we design our own models and manage our clients’ at-risk money upon request. Otherwise, we monitor third party money managers and clients who wish to use those models do so. However, we are extremely pleased with our own models’ respective performances. We tactically manage money for our clients in accord with their stated risk tolerances. We stay in contact with them regularly and frequently especially when we get market roller coasters. Many of our clients for whom we manage money are currently in retirement.

As a Registered Investment Adviser, AGG is governed by the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (“40 Act”) and is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and state securities laws of Georgia, primarily regulated through the Department of Banking and Finance.

Our Custodial Trading Platforms:TD-Ameritrade/Schwab

Trading is not a game to us and we don’t treat it like a game. Schwab bought TD-Ameritrade Institutional during the pandemic and the two are completing their merger in 2022. TDAI offers us flexibility for a broad range of investment options including protective options trading and structured investments as well as efficient portfolio construction and management.

TDAI-Schwab’s platform holds brokerage accounts (including the brokerage accounts within IRAs, SEPs, Individual Plans, etc.).

We use TDAI for a full-service broad platform that allows us to trade both fixed-income, equities (including margin and options) and protective strategies. Currently, equities trade in whole shares only at TDAI.

TDAI-Schwab fulfills legal responsibilities for safeguarding your assets while also providing related administrative services on your behalf, including settlement of purchases, tax and account record keeping, monthly statements, confidentiality and data integrity protections, and more.

Under the supervision and planning expertise of Wallace R. Nichols, M.B.A., J.D., CFP® Professional, we use a mathematical calculations that will lead us to an optimal amount that you should have in all  your retirement savings accounts, especially your tax-deferred accounts (“qualified accounts”), as well as your personal required rate of return to continue appropriate growth on those accounts (commensurate with your risk tolerance) by the time you start retirement.

Likewise, we optimize your  portfolio risk exposure to fit your personal risk tolerance. We manage downside exposure to guard your portfolio against drawdowns during down-markets to the extent  reasonably practical. We do this to mitigate “Sequence of Return Risk.”

Schedule a Discovery Meeting to learn what our use of these techniques can mean for you.

We model cash flows in a variety of scenarios custom-fit to your case to reduce and eliminate to the extent practicable, the risk of decision-error in needs and recommendation analysis and assessment. We then re-test those scenarios against 1000 randomly applied market histories (e.g., “Up,” “Down,” “Sideway” years) to assess probabilities of success in Best Case Scenarios, Most Likely Outcomes, and Worst Case Scenarios. By proceeding in this fashion, we can all proceed with a reasonable degree of confidence concerning the likely outcomes of our decisions for the near-term future. By keeping your information current, we increase our porbabilities of successfully navigating your charted course as time passes.
